NJCAA Conferences
The National Junior College Athletic Association website has information on junior colleges that offer men and women's golf programs. Currently there are 83 NJCAA schools that offer a woman's golf program, and 212 NJCAA schools that offer a men's golf program. The NJCAA website provides updated information on all of the schools that are in this conference.

NJCAA Eligibility
(National Junior Colege Athletic Association)
A college-bound athlete has specific requirements before he or she can join an athletic team that is a part of the NJCAA. The student must have graduated from an accredited high school, or recevied the equivalent to a high school diploma (passing the GED). Students who do not graduate from high school can establish eligibility by passing 12 credits at the college level with a GPA of 1.75 or higher. The term must be completed before the student's high school class will graduate. Studints who are still in high school, but are simultaneously enrolled in 12 or more credit hours may be elegible for athletic competition by completing the NJCAA High School Waiver Form. NAIA Eligibility
(National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics)
In order to be eligible to be an athlete at an NAIA school you need to have graduated from an accredited high school and are within good standing. Each individual school defines the meaning of "good standing", please visit individual school's website. Students are also required to meet 2 of the 3 requirements:
- A Minimum score if 18 on the ACT and/or a minimum of 860 (on Math and Critical reading sections) on SAT
- On a grade point scale of 4.0, the student must receive a 2.0 or higher
- Students must have graduated in the upper half of their class

NCAA Eligibility
(National Collegiate Athletic Association)
The NCAA requires students who will be participating in athletics to complete an Initial-Eligibility Clearinghouse form at NCAA Initial-Eligibility Clearinghouse.
If planning on entering college in 2010, each division in the NCAA has different requirements for the number of core classes needed. Division I schools require 14. To find out these specific core classes, please visit the Freshman Eligibility Standards website.
The NCAA dictates that students meet the following requirements:
- On a grade point scale of 4.0, the student must receive a 2.0 or higher
- A score of 820 on the SAT (score comprised of only verbal & math section)
- A sum score of 68 on the ACT
While the NCAA encourages student athletes to participate in sports, it is important to realize that not every athlete will go pro. Keep in mind that sports is a great place to develope into the person you want to be on and off the field.
